To augment the damage, cooldown, or mechanics (for example stun, knockback etc.) of a spell you can use the inscription profession for that purpose. There are two aspects. One is the augmentation of spells and abilities with the creation of a new type of item which can be for example scrolls from ink, parchment, and other reagents.
The spellbook which every player has can be filled with glyphes (max. 6). There are major and minor glyphes. Currently there is one major and one minor glyphe which you can use at level 15, and up to three major and three minor glyphes at level 80.Milling represents a sub-skill which accompanies Inscription. It produces reagents (pigments) from herbs.You can also use your Inscribing abilities to create Inscription-based scrolls which you can sell and trade at the auction house.
